Kerr (Continued from Page: 1) posed to do, Williams said, adding: "It went precisely where it was supposed to go and he did not commit a theft from savings and lean executives." Woven in 1961-62 were Baker's. financial problems in building the Carousel Motel in 5 City, which was damaged by a severe tropical storm in March of 1962. Williams did not say who was Baker's closest friend.

He said that Kerr arranged for a $250,000 loan for Baker Cat Fidelity Bank and Trust in Oklahoma City and also made a personal commitment for $50,000. Later, Williams said, Kerr told Baker to "wipe the slate clean" and record Kerr's loan to him "as fees for all the things that Baker had done for him."
