JORDAN Malcolm W. Jordan was called home by God, at the age of 79.

Malcolm was originally from Atmore, Ala. He resided in Pensacola for the past 52 years. Malcolm served in the Air Force during World War Il. He was a builder in the Mobile and Pensacola areas. Malcolm retired from University Hospital after 20 years of service.

He was a member of the Baptist faith. Malcolm is survived by his wife of 55 years, Emma Hanks Jordan of Pensacola; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Glennis Jordan of Milton; two granddaughters, Michelle and Scott Wells of Milton and Dana and Jason Anderson of Fayetteville, N.C.; one grandson, Douglas Jordan of Milton; one sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Thad Jones of Eight Mile, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. MARIE RADER PAIR Marie Rader Pair, 74, of Tellico Village Community, died Thursday, September 19, 1996 following a lingering illness. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Paul Pair of Loudon, News Journal staff writer They will come to the beaches today wearing gloves and heavy shoes packing trash bags rather than sun umbrellas. The mission of more than 200,000 people from more than 70 countries will be to clean up thousands of miles of beaches, and Northwest Florida beaches are no exception. The event is the 10th annual International Beach Cleanup, from 8 a.m. to noon in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties.

Its purpose is to remove debris from beaches and the shoreline, and to collect valuable information on amounts: and types of debris for setting public policies. Cleanup organizers are hoping for 300 volunteers at Pensacola Beach. "There's a lot of little stuff to pick up. Some things like plastic rings are very important to get rid of because they are harmful to birds and fish," said Raymond 'O'. Keefe, organizer.

Ten Pensacola Beach restaurants will provide free food, at noon, at the beach pavilion 1 for cleanup volunteers. Volunteers should meet at 8 a.m. at the following locations to receive trash bags and data cards: Pensacola Beach: Meet at Casino Beach in the core business district. Fort Pickens: Langdon Beach pavilion, 4.5 miles west of the Gulf Islands National Seashore entrance station. I Perdido Key: Johnson Beach east of State Road 292.

Big Lagoon State Recreation Area: Meet at the boat ramp. Pensacola Naval Air Station: Trout Point, just inside the back gate to the station. Naval Live Oaks, Gulf Breeze: Visitor center, two miles east of Gulf Breeze on U.S. 98. Navarre Beach: The main beach parking lot.

Festival to fun stuff for children The West Pensacola Optimist Club will sponsor "A Child's Place" during the Pensacola Seafood Festival Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 in Bartram Park. Activities include pony rides, train rides, games and prizes, arts and crafts, puppet shows, a moon walk and other activities. Admission is free, but there will be a charge for games, arts, and crafts, and items at the concession stand.

Participants also can enter a raffle to win a pair of Ice Pilots hockey tickets, donated by the Ice Pilots. and Alicia Ed- notices LILLIE MAE CROSBY Lillie Mae Crosby, 93, of Pensacola, died Wednesday, September 18, 1996. Mrs. Crosby was a native of Ellisville, Miss. and had been a resident of Pensacola since 1945.

She was a member of Gadsden Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Elise and Ray Pollock: one sister and brother-in-law, Louena and Irwin Mertz; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mary Price; one grandson, John R. Mrs. Duce was a native of Florida and a resident of Gulf Breeze since '1975. She was preceded in death by her husband James H.

Duce. She retired after teaching school in the Florida school system for 30 years. Mrs. Duce was a member of the Santa Rosa Shores Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze. Survivors include her step son and daughter-in-law, Harold Edwin Duce and Cozine B.
