One of those movies where you want to go into the TV and punch someone

Amy was one of the most annoying and irrational characters I have seen in a long time. I don't see how she survived as long as she did and I don't mean in this situation, but life in general.

Thank you. I'm really annoyed she survived.
Why were she still taking pictures in the first place when they were obviously in danger?
Why did she try to ask for help when she knew they wouldn't care? Plus an innocent kid died because of her. She was so annoying and stupid I wanted her to die first.

I thought she acted like a human.
In that hopeless of a situation, she'd be desperate, hence going down for help and then crying.
When she was taking pictures, the Mayan hadn't shot anybody yet. They didn't know their lives were in danger.
Also, she didn't intentionally kill the little kid. They had no idea the vines were the cause behind it all at the time.

Well, her friends told her to stop taking pictures and yet she took another one who led to Dimitri's death. Why would you take a picture when someone is aiming you? That's not acting human it's acting stupid.
Of course she didn't know about the plant, neither did the viewer at this point but why on earth did she go back to irrational murderers and ask for help putting her and her boyfriend in danger? I think if one of my friend was shot right in front of me with no obvious reason I wouldn't go back and ask for help knowing that I can even communicate with those people. Except if I was great at Pictionary

Like I said, in that hopeless of a situation, she'd be desperate, hence going down for help and then crying.
About the pictures thing, againthe Mayan hadn't shot anybody yet. They didn't know their lives were in danger.
Wowyou really didn't say anything, did you?

It wasn't the fact of her taking another picture that upset the Mayans. When she took the second picture she was standing on the vines - that's what made them suddenly more upset. Then the dude goes over to her to get the camera, also thinking that's why the Mayans are angry, and he, too, steps on the vines. So when he starts heading back toward the Mayans with the camera, now certainly infected, they shoot him. Whether or not she should have been still snapping photos, the picture-taking wasn't what made the Mayans start shooting.

I thought for a horror movie (where we frequently see characters act incredibly stupidly), this one tried to play things pretty straight. The only time I really said WTF was when first Jeff was stabbed by Stacey (who'd completely lost the plot) and then idiotic Eric does exactly the same thing as Jeff and unsurprisingly finds himself offed and being dragged to dinner, where he was to be the main course.

The photo isn't what led to his death, it was her stepping on the vines. Until then it appeared they could leave if they wanted.
